Lisa received her Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education from Bridgewater State College in 2000 and then received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Simmons College in Boston, MA in 2005. Since that time she has worked exclusively in the area of treating pediatric physical therapy patients.

Her experience includes having worked for Hasbro Children’s Hospital in Providence, Rhode Island where she worked as a staff physical therapist in the inpatient and outpatient departments before relocating to Raleigh. After her relocation, Lisa worked for the Johnston County school system before working for Duke University Health Systems. While working for Duke she treated children in the hospital as inpatients, as well as provided care to outpatient pediatric patients. In addition, she provided physical therapy services to patients/students in the Durham Public School system.

Since leaving Duke, Lisa has been providing early intervention services for children birth to three years old and children of all ages that require home-based therapy. She has extensive experience working with children with developmental disabilities, cerebral palsy, Down Syndrome and various motor and coordination disorders. In her practice, Lisa believes in using a team approach when working with a child ensuring that she works closely with the family. She is constantly advancing her knowledge base in the area of pediatric diagnoses and treatments by attending continuing education courses on a regular basis, and she consistently stays on top of the state-of-the-art treatment modalities for pediatric patients.

Lisa is co-owner of Achieving Milestones Therapy, LLC.

Lisa lives in Raleigh and is married with two young children. She enjoys reading, spending time with her family, and cooking.
